Umm... Back then, I didn't really understand why everyone said that Granpa Scrooge is a bad, scary person...
The Granpa Scrooge I'd known was really a nice, cheery old man who had been helping people in town. Last year's Christmas, he gave me a pair of leather boots that I had wanted for a long time, and he also gave many toys for my little brother. Uncle Fred even agreed with me that Granpa Scrooge is a nice person.
Recently, I realized that few years before my brother and me were born, Granpa Scrooge was really a bad, scary person, but... It was hard for me to believe that... Even that was true that Granpa Scrooge was a bad person, but Granpa Scrooge I knew was really a nice, cheery, and generous person. So, I want him to be happy in Heaven.

College Assignment: To write a funeral speech for Scrooge (Christmas Carol) as IF his relatives or someone who is close to him.

This is actually assignment from one of my lectures. We, students need to make a funeral speech for Scrooge from Christmas Carol, as IF we are his relative or someone who's close to him. So, I kind of took the challenge by using around 10 years old kid's way of thinking, so the main point is the naivety.
(My real way of thinking isn't suitable for funeral speeches...)
